New Photos and Stuff
We will be putting all of our holiday pics from the D up this evening. Our satellite receiver self-destructed while we were gone so we've been going through books like candy the past week. Kelli and I are now adjusted to the time for the most part and are settling back in to life under the dreary German winter skies.
It was great to see ALMOST everyone that we wanted to over the holidays. If we missed you, sorry, but Kelli and I came home totally exhausted from the attempt.
I got to Chicago for John Mauck's Poker Tourney (I got knocked out by FOUR ACES!) and saw some old faces (unintentional rhyme) (Sounds like a country song...). We made a trek to Charlevoix to see Kelli's grandma and family, but we missed my family as they had already made plans to be elsewhere. I got up to East Lansing to see a Spartan Basketball game (win) and spend WAY too mauch time at P.T. O'Malley's. Also got to take in a De La Salle Pilot basketball game (win). All great times..............
Much more coming tonight.

Gerald Ford
I know it's probably not very PC to say this, but this is the first thing I thought of when I heard that Gerald Ford died.
This is Dana Carvey doing Tom Brokaw on Saturday Night Live in 1996.

Back in Germany & Happy New Year!
After a wonderful nearly three weeks at home in Detroit, we have returned to our second home in Germany as of this morning. Luckily all is well here with the exception of our satellite TV not working but Dan-o is working on that. It was wonderful to be home, but it also feels good to be back. We are trying to get on Central European time again and hope to feel 100% alert by the weekend....thank goodness it is a short week!
We had a WONDERFUL time being home the last 18 days! It was great being with family and friends and just plan hangin' out. We nearly saw each and everyone of you and I think we nearly met each of the new additions from the past year. Thanks for the great get togethers, good times, and good friends. We enjoyed each and every minute of it and feel fortunate to have had so many great times together in 18 days with our closest friends. Special thanks to Jay and Jen for housing us and the poker night! We kept you guys busy and probably a bit exhausted!!
Pictures should come over the weekend....
We look forward to an eventful 2007! We plan not to be home again until Christmas 2007 as we should have several family and friends in town again this year. So far Mom & Dad are booked for late May to mid June. We hear that others are interested in visiting from May to September. Please let us know your plans - we welcome everyone!

Translation
I slept in my lederhosen last Saturday night. I have never been more comfortable in my entire life.
We have a ton of pics from all of the xmas markets we've been to the last couple of weeks. I promise they'll be up this weekend. We are home on Thursday.
