Feels Good...

...to be home finally. What an ordeal I had getting home. Let's just say the French not only are pretty bad at everything but now also including running an airline.

Air France = Sucks

I love you Northwest and will never try and save a couple hundred bucks ever again!

Here are the long awaited pictures from WIlhelmstrassefest I promised two weeks ago.

The trip to the D was great and getting reacquainted with family, friends, Royal Oak, Comerica Park and little league baseball is always a nice bonus to a trip home for work.

Take care all....pictures from Deeetroit coming soon...

Glücklicher Geburtstag!

Happy Birthday to me! I want to thank my friends and family for all the great wishes, emails, and phone calls that I received on Friday. It meant the world to me - - I value my relationships with family and friends so much more with being so far away. Luckily I don't feel that far-away with technology and I am thankful! I went over to one of my co-workers last night for a birthday party for her husband, another co-worker, and myself. We had a fabulous dinner and a good time was had.

Dan FINALLY comes home tomorrow. I can't wait! We haven't really seen each other in two weeks...I hope the boys in Detroit send him back in one piece! Hopefully this next weekend we will go some where and be able to post some new pictures. Have a good week to all and happy birthday to my dad!

Summer has arrived!!

We had a gorgeous weekend, sunny & not a cloud in the sky. I enjoyed walking around on my own while Dan is in the states. However, Monday in the office was sticky and hot, about 90 degrees, little humid. Now that may sound like nothing to most, but there is NO air-conditioning in the office or in our house. The only sanctuary is the car...I am now thankful that I was brought up knowing the air was a luxury and not a necessity. Though I do miss it...I now need to actually think of what I'm going to wear tomorrow because it will be warmer!! I have no summer clothes for work as in the states it is so cold in the summer in the office that my suits practically worked year around. I guess this is a good excuse to go shopping. Dan - make sure you get some new clothes for me at Somerset:)

Wilhelstrassefest

It's a mouthful but it's the biggest festival in Wiesbaden AND it starts in 2 hours!

I just walked through it on my way back from German class. Lots of Rides, Artists, Musical stages and TONS of beer and wine.

Check back Sunday for pics!

Work, Work, Work

I knew that I had to drive pretty far last week. Since I was unsure about exactly where I'd be, I threw my camera in the bag.

Unlike in Detroit when the best thing I may see is a hill or two. I stumbled upon the Alps. This is the view from my hotel balcony overlooking the Attersee. I was west of Salzburg (Sound of Music) about 80km. ABout a 5 hour drive and 2 hours past Munich.

There were tons of golf courses around Schofling. For how beautiful it was, and resonable the hotel rate, I think I may be visiting this customer A LOT!

Kelli and I explored the city of Mainz all day Saturday. Mainz is across the river from Wiesbaden about 8km from our house. Very neat city. Much younger crowd than the uppity Wiesbadeners! We drove into Frankfurt and saw Star Wars that night. Kelli saw her FIRST Star Wars movie! Probably the last person over 20 on the planet to never have seen a Star Wars...

I am heading home for work on the 17th and will be in Detroit that weekend. Anyone want to hit a Tiger game or three?
