Vacation...

Dan and I returned Saturday evening from our 8 day vacation - we have an amazing time and perfect weather to end summer - high 70's, low 80's and sunny every day (very different from Germany - supposedly we had the coldest August in 28 years!). Even though we do travel a lot on the weekends, having a long period of time off just to relax, layout, and sightsee gave us a chance to recharge. Each of the places we visited were fantastic - Lucerne, Switzerland for a night; Nice and the France Riviera for three days where we also took the train to Monte Carlo for a few hours; drove the Italian Riviera and stop by the leaning tower of Pisa; Florence for two days, and then we ended in Lake Como for two days which I think is our idea of heaven. We'll get settled this week and pictures to come...can"t believe it is September!
